Terra Mizwa has been an artist all of her life, drawing, painting, cartooning and then
sculpting. Having studied, worked and taught in the healing arts for over 25 years, she gained an implicit knowledge of physiology and anatomy. A witty observer of humans and animals, her work is based on an understanding of their behaviors, relationships, psychology and spirit and its translation into artistic expression. Her work is recognized for this and for its affecting character and quality of its craft.
Terra lives and works at her sculpture and painting in the central highlands of Mexico in the enchanting town of San Miguel de Allende. There is an old textile factory now converted into a center for art and design where she and her husband share a studio space devoted to fine art.
Terra has had many exhibits in various galleries in San Miguel and shown her work in Santa Barbara, as well the Loveland Sculpture Invitational.
