In 2004, I established Of the West Jewelry Design and since have created and sold over 1000 pieces of jewelry in galleries and shows across Colorado and beyond. Handmade, beaded chain jewelry is my specialty. I use sterling silver, gold or gold-filled wire to showcase pearls, crystals and semi-precious stones. My pieces are inspired by the beauty of the western landscape and the spirit of the people who call the west their home.
I love to create unique and custom pieces for special occasions and weddings, reflecting the style and capturing
the unique spirit of the woman who will wear it.
Heirloom Rescue is my answer to that box of neglected but treasured pieces we collect from all the special women in our lives. I transform broken or out of style but sentimental vintage jewelry into special pieces to wear or share in remembrance of that special someone who wore it long ago.
Today, I live on a little red dirt road in the rugged mountains and red rock cliffs north of Canon City. Creating jewelry is an exercise in imagination that balances the discipline and analysis that exists in my career in healthcare. I also teach classes in jewelry making at Clear Creek Academy of Jewelry
and Metal Arts in Denver, Colorado.
My logo is a pencil caricature of a sunset photo taken from the window of my first studio.
